Charlie Roman has a diverse work experience in the gaming and software development industry. Charlie is currently working as a Technical Director at Player First Games since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Technical Director at Respawn Entertainment from August 2021 to January 2023.

Before that, Charlie worked at Riot Games as a Senior Engineering Manager from August 2017 to August 2021 and as a Software Engineer from April 2016 to August 2017. Charlie was a Senior Software Engineer at Radiant Entertainment from May 2015 to April 2016.

Charlie's earlier experiences include working as a Software/UI Engineer at Electronic Arts from April 2011 to May 2015 and as a Flash UI Engineer at NetDevil from September 2010 to April 2011.

Charlie also has experience working at IBM as an Applications Programming Specialist from July 2009 to September 2010. During their time at IBM, Charlie worked on numerous pitches and was responsible for both design and development using Flash.

Charlie's early career includes roles as a Unity3D Developer at Games for Entertainment and Learning Lab from May 2009 to July 2009. Charlie also worked at Michigan State University, where they held various roles as a Teaching Assistant & Game Camp Teacher from January 2008 to May 2009, a Server Admin from April 2007 to May 2009, and a Flash Programmer/Designer from April 2007 to March 2009.

Their first professional experience was as an IT Support staff at MSU Housing & Food Services Systems Group from May 2005 to August 2007.

Charlie Roman attended Hartland High School from 2001 to 2005, but did not receive a degree or have a field of study listed. Following high school, Charlie went on to study at Michigan State University from 2005 to 2009. At Michigan State, Charlie pursued a degree in Telecommunication with a specialization in Game Design & Development, focusing on the field of Game Design.
