Mahmoud Felfel is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and entrepreneurship. As a Co-Founder of Play.ht since April 2020, Mahmoud has been instrumental in developing a platform for generative speech and voice cloning, focusing on a sophisticated speech editor. Prior to this, Mahmoud served as a Software Engineer at WhatsApp from February 2021 to September 2022, contributing to mobile app development for feature phones. Mahmoud's career also includes roles such as Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at dubizzle from March 2015 to September 2020, and a Software Engineer at Incorta from March 2014 to February 2015. Earlier experience includes leading a team at newthinkers and co-founding Kotob.me, an Arabic-focused book platform that was later acquired. Mahmoud holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Mansoura University, obtained in 2012.
