Funmi Owolabi-Ajayi has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Funmi began their career as a Medical Intern at University College Hospital, Ibadan in 2006. Funmi then served as a Medical Officer at Jos University Teaching Hospital and Saint Mary Catholic Hospital Ibadan. In 2010, they worked as a Medical Officer at Obafemi Awolowo University, Medical Health Services.
From 2011 to 2018, Funmi worked at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex, where they held multiple roles including Resident Doctor in Internal Medicine and Senior Resident Doctor in the Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Unit.
