Markus earned his master's degree in chemistry at the Technical University of Munich. He specialized in organic and analytical chemistry with focus on instrument development. Currently, he is working for Plasmion in context of research and application development. In parallel, he is doing his doctorate with Professor Dr. Christoph Haisch at the Chair of Analytical Chemistry of the Technical University of Munich. ​
