Mark Turner has extensive experience in business development, corporate strategy, and intellectual property management. Mark has worked in various roles throughout their career, starting with their position as Associate Director in the Office of Technology Development at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In this role, they commercialized inventions and filed patents, resulting in numerous successful licenses.
Mark then joined BioStratum Inc. as the Director of Business Development, where they established partnerships with pharmaceutical companies for the development and commercialization of drug candidates.
Afterwards, they worked at RTI International as a Consultant, providing commercial and technology assessments for experimental drugs and medical devices.
Mark then joined Life Sciences Law, PLLC as an Associate, advising clients in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries on corporate matters and drafting various agreements.
Mark then joined Bayer CropScience as a Business Development Manager, responsible for identifying and assessing new technologies and establishing collaborations for multiple business units. Mark later became the Regional Licensing and Alliance Manager, leading project teams and negotiations for long-term R&D collaborations and patent licenses.
Currently, Mark is the Vice President of Corporate and Business Development at Plant Health Care, Inc. Mark leads the business development function, collaborates with global industry partners, and drives initiatives to explore new markets and business models.

Mark Turner has a solid educational background. In 1990, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biology and English from Boston University. Afterward, from 1993 to 1995, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Health Care Administration/Management/Policy Analysis from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Public Health. Later, they enrolled at the North Carolina Central University School of Law, Evening Program, where they obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, Mark Turner has achieved the certification of being a member in good standing in the N.C. State Bar.
