Tom East, GISP, has extensive experience in geospatial technology and management, having worked in the field since 1977. Presently serving as a Geospatial Solutions Architect at Planning and Development Services of Kenton County since July 1990, Tom East has held multiple titles including Senior Geospatial Systems & Data Analyst and Senior GIS Specialist, leading program development and coordination of GIS activities. Prior to this role, Tom East was the GIS Program Manager, overseeing program management and budget preparation. Earlier experience includes serving as GIS Systems Manager at the Center for Policy, Research and Planning, managing systems for the Mississippi Automated Resource Information System, and as Systems Programmer at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, utilizing remotely sensed data for environmental projects. Tom East holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Mississippi State University and an Associate of Arts degree in Physics from Southwest Mississippi Community College.
