Tonya Owens has a diverse work experience in the legal and marketing fields. Tonya started their career in 1998 at Amster Rothstein & Ebenstein, where they worked as a Trademark Secretary, Docket Specialist, and IP Paralegal until 2006. From 2006 to 2009, they served as a Litigation Secretary and IP Paralegal at Baker Botts LLP. Tonya then worked at Darby & Darby from 2009 to 2010 as an IP Assistant/Paralegal. Tonya joined Leason Ellis LLP in 2010 and held the same role until 2014. During this period, they gained expertise in trademark prosecution, trademark infringement, licensing, and litigation support. In 2014, Tonya joined Gibbons P.C. as an IP Assistant/Paralegal and remained there until the present. Finally, in 2018, they joined InteleTravel.com as a Travel Services Specialist and later transitioned to PlanNet Marketing in 2021, where they currently work as an Independent Marketing Representative.

Tonya Owens attended Woodlands High School in Hartdale, NY from 1980 to 1984. After completing high school, they enrolled in Westchester Business Institute in White Plains, NY from 1985 to 1987.
