Niko Tarnanen is a Senior Electronics Designer at Planmeca since May 2021, specializing in the electronics design of imaging devices and dental units. Prior to this role, Niko worked at Suunto as an Electronics Designer from May 2015 to April 2021, focusing on sport watches and dive computers. Niko's experience also includes serving as a Senior HW Engineer at Navigil from April 2012 to May 2015, where the emphasis was on handheld navigation devices, and as a Lead Electronics Engineer at GE Healthcare from September 1999 to April 2012, concentrating on respiration monitoring products. Niko began the career as a Master Thesis Student at Datex-Ohmeda, where the research involved a CO2 sensor study. Niko holds a Master of Science degree in Electronics and Measurement Technology, with a minor in Signal Processing and Acoustics from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, completed in 1999.
