Richard Hedrick is the CEO and Co-Founder of PlaneWave Instruments, a company established in January 2006 that specializes in designing and manufacturing high-performance telescopes and advanced mounts/gimbals, pioneering the availability of high-end telescopes as off-the-shelf products. Prior to this, Richard served as the Chief Technology Officer and Senior VP at Celestron from June 1995 to December 2006, where Richard led product development and built the engineering department. Additionally, Richard was the VP of Engineering at Tasco from 1998 to 2000, overseeing product design and collaborating with sales teams on major retail partnerships. Richard's educational background includes a BS in Physics from UCLA, where Richard worked at the Particle Beam Physics Laboratory, and an AS Degree in Physics from El Camino College.
