Jacques Grove has an extensive work experience in the technology industry. Jacques started their career in 1996 as a System Engineer, Member Technical Staff at Sun Microsystems. In 2000, they moved to Loudcloud as a Senior Consulting Engineer, leading large customer deployments onto their platform. From 2002 to 2007, they worked at Opsware, first as a Staff Software Engineer and then as a Senior Solutions Architect. From 2007 to 2011, they were at Clover Network, Inc. as Vice President Worldwide Technical Operations and SVP DevOps, serving as Chief Architect for the full stack design and cloud infrastructure. From 2011 to 2017, they were a Cloud Architecture Consultant for various companies. In 2018, they joined Google as Global Head of Infrastructure Services, Google Cloud Professional Services, leading the global infrastructure group for Google Cloud Professional services. Currently, they are Head of Customer Engineering at PlanetScale and an Advisor and Investor for various startups.
Jacques Grove attended Stellenbosch University from 1992 to 1995, graduating with a B. Comm in 1994 and a B. Comm Hons (summa cum laude) in 1995, both in the field of Mathematics and Computer Science.
