Sandy Walsh is an experienced technology leader with a diverse background in software development and engineering. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Planet Labs since May 2015, Sandy specializes in authorization policy engines, usage quotas, and user management, utilizing a tech stack that includes Golang, Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP. As President and CEO of Dark Secret Software Inc. since 2002, Sandy has overseen contract software development across various sectors including games, home automation, and robotics. Previous roles include Software Developer at Rackspace Hosting focusing on OpenStack, and Software Developer at iMPath Networks working on video streaming applications. Sandy also held leadership positions at Abridean Inc. as VP R&D and served as CTO at Infocast Corp. Study in Computer Science culminated in a B.Sc from Memorial University, Newfoundland and Labrador.
