Atsushi Okawara

Head Sushi Chef/ One Michelin Stared at PLAN DO SEE AMERICA

Atsushi Okawara has extensive work experience as a chef in various establishments. Atsushi is currently working as the Head Sushi Chef at PLAN DO SEE AMERICA, specifically at The Den at Azabu Miami, a speak easy Omakase dining restaurant that has been awarded one Michelin star in 2022 and 2023. Prior to this, Atsushi worked as a Sushi Chef at Kenzo Estate in downtown Napa, where they were part of the opening staff and helped the restaurant earn one Michelin star since its opening. Atsushi also served as the Head Sushi Chef at SUGITA FOODS INC. from 2007 to 2016. Before that, they worked as a Chef at Edo Japanese Restaurant and at a limited company in Japan.

Atsushi Okawara attended Hosei University, where they obtained a bachelor's degree in Economics. Although the start year is not provided, they completed their studies in 1999. Additionally, they have obtained two additional certifications: the USCPA from the Board of Accountancy in March 2017, and a Tax Accountant License from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in March 2001.
