Shay Itzhak has over 15 years of work experience in software engineering and database administration. Shay currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at Pixellot - AI-Automated Sports Production. Prior to this, they worked at Bank Hapoalim as a Senior Java Software Engineer in various roles. In these roles, they were responsible for developing credit offers systems, maintaining microservices generation infrastructure, and developing ETL systems. Shay also worked on developing APIs according to the PSD2 standard, implementing CICD processes, and developing REST APIs and mediator systems. Before their time at Bank Hapoalim, Shay worked as an Oracle Application Database Administrator for the Israel Defense Forces, where they were involved in developing and maintaining Java/JEE systems and managing the AFIS project.

Shay Itzhak attended The College of Management Academic Studies from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Shay also obtained several certifications from MongoDB University. These certifications include "M201: MongoDB Performance" obtained in May 2020, "The MongoDB Aggregation Framework" obtained in February 2020, and "MongoDB Data Modeling" obtained in January 2020.
