Curtis Meyer has an extensive academic and research career at Carnegie Mellon University since July 1993, currently serving as the Interim Dean of the Mellon College of Science, The Otto Stern Professor of Physics, and Associate Dean for Research. Curtis's primary focus as Associate Dean for Research is to enhance research activities, including traditional grant-based efforts and fostering business connections. As a Professor of Physics, Curtis Meyer leads an active experimental research program at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility as Spokesperson of the GlueX collaboration, which has been operational since 2014. Additionally, Curtis Meyer has held multiple leadership roles in faculty and graduate affairs at Carnegie Mellon, played a key role at Jefferson Lab as both Spokesperson and Deputy Spokesperson of the GlueX Experiment, and contributed as Chief Information Officer at DigitalMC. Curtis Meyer holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Mathematics from Oregon State University.
