Chris Breitbach is an experienced emergency management professional currently serving as the Emergency Manager for Pitkin County since April 2024. In addition, Chris has held the position of Operations Section Chief and Group Supervisor with HHS NDMS since September 2021. From February 2008 to April 2024, Chris served as the Deputy Commander of MN-1 All Hazard IMT. Prior experience includes serving as the Emergency Management Director at Allina Health from July 1996 to October 2023, Deputy Team Commander for MN1 DMAT from March 2003 to July 2022, and District Fire Chief at Oakdale Fire Department Inc from February 1996 to February 2008. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from American Military University.
