Shawn Nystrand is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in software development and architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Developer at PIPSC IPFPC since July 2019, Shawn has developed a Lumen-based API for the institute's Oracle server, implementing key features such as query caching and API key authorization. Prior experience includes over 15 years at HRSG, where Shawn advanced from Programmer/Analyst to Director of Software Development, leading a team of developers and overseeing product development projects while ensuring quality and adherence to Agile methodologies. Earlier roles at Comnet Communications/Cyberus Online included various positions in network operations and marketing management, demonstrating a versatile skill set across technical and managerial responsibilities. Shawn holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Carleton University.
