Amanda Padilla has been working in the software engineering and research fields since 2010. Amanda began their career as a Data Entry Operator for the Houston Parks and Recreation Summer Food Services Program in 2010, then again in 2011 and 2012. In 2011, they were also a Chemistry Lab 1101 Grader for Baylor University. In 2013, they worked as a Research Assistant I for RiceTec, Inc. and as a Sales Associate for Michaels Arts and Crafts. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Teaching Assistant for the University of Texas at Austin - Center for Professional Education (CPE). Amanda then worked as a Front End Software Engineer for Corvia from 2020 to 2022, where they maintained customer facing sites, added new features for both the customer facing site and internal CRM, and helped create the company's internal CRM. Amanda is currently a Front End Software Engineer for PipeSearchâ„¢, where they are heading an initiative to add testing and documentation standards for the entire codebase, working with their team to improve and update the codebase and rework for best practices and mobile development, and updating the current codebase using React functional components, Baobab state management (transitioning to Redux), and helping implement Jest tests and standards.
Amanda Padilla began their educational journey in 2005 when they attended M.B. Lamar Senior High School until 2009. Amanda then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a Minor in Forensics at Baylor University from 2009 to 2013. In 2018, they completed a Full Stack Web Development program at The University of Texas at Austin.
