Christopher Broughton has diverse work experience in the fields of investment banking, oil and gas, and reservoir engineering. Christopher is currently working as a Vice President of Investment Banking at Piper Sandler starting from March 2023. Prior to this, they served as an Investment Banking Associate at the same company from November 2020 to March 2023. Christopher also worked as part of the Acquisitions and Divestitures team at Black Mountain Oil & Gas from July 2019 to November 2020. Christopher Broughton started their career as a Reservoir Engineer at ExxonMobil in July 2011 and worked there until March 2014. Christopher then joined Devon Energy, where they held various roles including Reservoir Engineer, Technical Team Lead, Asset Team Lead, and later became a Product Manager from April 2014 to August 2017. Finally, in 2018, they worked as a Summer Associate at Goldman Sachs.

Christopher Broughton completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Harvard Business School between the years 2017 and 2019. Prior to this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2011.
