Kevin Borchard has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Kevin started their career as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the USAF from 2005 to 2014. Following their military service, they worked as a Fellow at New England Baptist Hospital in 2014 and then as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Memorial Hospital at Craig from 2015 to 2020. During this time, they also served as the Chief of Surgery at Pioneers Medical Center from 2015. In 2017, they became the Chief of Hoperations at Smoking River Hops, LLC, and in 2020, they joined Smoking River Orthopaedics as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. Currently, Kevin Borchard is the Co-Owner of Smoking River Brewing Company since July 2021.

Kevin Borchard has an extensive education history. Kevin began by earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they completed from 1996 to 1999. After that, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine from 2001 to 2005. Following their medical degree, they undertook an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center from 2005 to 2010. Lastly, they engaged in a Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at the New England Baptist Hospital in 2014 and 2015.
