Cory Merrill has extensive work experience in the banking and financial industry. They started their career in 2001 at First National Bank Minnesota, where they worked as a Personal Banking Officer and Investment Executive for five years. In 2007, they transitioned to Eide Bailly as a Bank Compliance Consultant and stayed with the company until 2015. Afterward, they joined Pioneer Bank as a Compliance Officer for two years. In 2017, Cory Merrill joined Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership as a Real Estate Development Officer. Currently, they are working at Pioneer Bank as an Assistant Vice President/Business Banker since May 2019. In January 2022, they were promoted to the role of Vice President at Pioneer Bank.

Cory Merrill completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a focus on Finance, General at Austin College from 1995 to 1998.
