Instructor at Pinot’s Palette

Jeff Johnston has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Jeff started their career in 2001 as a Web Designer, Graphic Designer, and New Media Technician at New Media Worx, where they designed and built websites and new media products for clients. In 2003, they worked as a Graphic Designer at PrintManage Inc, conceptualizing and designing brochures and self-promotional items. From 2004 to 2009, they served as a Production Manager at NAVTEQ ID Maps, managing the graphic/web design department and helping grow the business from a small start-up. In 2012, they worked as a Graphic Designer at JLL. Jeff then started their own design company, Jeff B. Johnston Design and Illustration, in 2009, working with businesses such as APCO Worldwide and the American Diabetes Association. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as an Admissions Counselor at the San Francisco Art Institute, and in 2019, they served as a Guest Services Associate at the Exploratorium. Currently, they are an Instructor at Pinot's Palette.

Jeff Johnston pursued their education starting in 1994 at Tulsa Technology Center, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Advertising Design in 1996. Jeff furthered their educational journey by attending The University of Tulsa from 1997 to 2001, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in Graphic Design. Later, from 2014 to 2016, they attended the San Francisco Art Institute, where they completed a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree.
