Kannan Venkatraman has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Kannan is currently serving as the Interim Chief Technology Officer & Strategic Advisor at Pinochle.AI, where they drive innovation and provides advisory services to clients. Kannan is also a Board Member and Technology Advisor for Cyber Karma, focusing on providing top-tier security solutions.
Prior to their current roles, Kannan was the CTO and Global Head of the Microsoft Platform at Wipro. Kannan led technology transformations, modernized infrastructure and applications, and enabled cloud transformation to drive digital innovation. Kannan also led the Global Microsoft Practice and ensured the delivery of innovative solutions to clients.
Kannan has also worked at IBM, where they were the CTO & Executive Partner for the Microsoft Platform. Kannan achieved success in driving digital transformation at scale by spearheading infrastructure and application modernization efforts. Kannan was also responsible for pre-sales and solutioning for large deals, resulting in revenue growth and customer success.
Before joining IBM, Kannan worked at Microsoft as a Director. Kannan focused on simplifying and modernizing technology portfolios through cloud-based solutions and led the creation of migration plans for legacy applications.
Earlier in their career, Kannan held senior roles at IBM, Deloitte, and Cambridge Technology Partners. Kannan successfully delivered ERP and CRM business transformation projects and focused on vertical opportunities and partnerships.

Kannan Venkatraman completed their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from National College in Tiruchirappalli from 1988 to 1991. Kannan then pursued a Master of Science in Applied Sciences from the National Institute of Technology in Tiruchirappalli from 1991 to 1993. After that, they obtained their MBA in General Management from the Thiagarajar School of Management from 1994 to 1996.
