Emma Overton, LRT/CTRS, possesses extensive experience in recreation therapy, currently serving as the Lead Recreation Therapist at Pinewood Springs Mental Health & Wellness since January 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Recreation Therapist and Recreation Assistant, as well as a Recreation Therapy Intern at Carolina Dunes Behavioral Health, where Emma completed a rigorous 560-hour internship focused on at-risk populations. Emma's background also includes work as a Camp Counselor for Raleigh Parks & Recreation, developing and leading activities for kids and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Emma holds a degree in Recreation Therapy from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, earned in 2020.
