Chee Wai Tong has a diverse work experience spanning from 2001 to present. Chee Wai began their career as an Architect at JTC from 2001 to 2003. Chee Wai then worked as a Senior Architect at Jurong Consultants Pte Ltd from 2003 to 2007. Chee Wai Tong then joined Mapletree in 2007, where they held various roles such as Manager and Senior Manager in Development and Asset Management until 2011. Chee Wai later joined Alpha Investment Partners in 2011 and worked as an Asset Manager until 2012. Chee Wai then progressed to Vice President, Senior Vice President, and finally became the Head of Asset Management before leaving in May 2022. In June 2022, Chee Wai Tong joined PIMCO Prime Real Estate as a Director of Fund Management.

Chee Wai Tong completed their Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree from Cornell University from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Victoria Junior College from 1994 to 1995, but the degree and field of study are unknown.
