Moritz Hoffmann

Managing Director Retail Media at pilot group

Moritz Hoffmann has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Moritz began their career as a Brand Management Student Consultant at Henkel in 2014. Moritz then worked as the Founder & CEO of ShareKey, a role they held from August 2013 to August 2014. After that, they joined Volkswagen AG as a Strategic Business Development employee from September 2014 to February 2015. Moritz also worked briefly in Corporate Strategy at ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE from February 2016 to July 2016.

Hoffmann's experience in the food delivery industry includes their role as a Special Projects employee at Deliveroo from January 2018 to October 2018. Moritz then moved on to become a Strategy & Performance Manager and Team Lead Operations at Deliveroo from October 2018 to June 2019. Later, they served as Business Strategy Lead and (interim) Head of Operations at Deliveroo from June 2019 to October 2019.

Following that, they joined EatFirst as the Global Strategy & Product Lead from November 2019 to May 2020. Moritz was responsible for the post-merger integration of all European countries and acquisitions. Moritz also worked on branding and infrastructure improvements.

Hoffmann's next position was at Domino's Pizza Enterprises Limited as the Head of European Partnerships & Projects from June 2020 to December 2020. Moritz focused on developing the company's strategy for food delivery aggregators and marketplaces and building relationships with them, as well as working on payment provider strategies and implementations.

Moritz then joined Gorillas, starting as the General Manager for Germany from December 2020 to April 2021. During this time, they also served as the Global Head of E-Commerce & Revenue Growth from April 2021 to January 2022, where they led the company's commercial and consumer product strategies, including pricing, promotion, and merchandising.

Hoffmann's most recent role is as the Senior Director of Global Retail Media at Gorillas, a position they have held since January 2022. In this role, they have been responsible for launching Gorillas' global advertising revenue and data monetization, as well as diversifying income streams by partnering with FMCG brands and media agencies.

In addition to their current role at Gorillas, Hoffmann is also the Managing Director of Retail Media at Pilot Group since April 2023.

Moritz Hoffmann has an extensive education history. Moritz completed their Bachelor's Degree in International Marketing at Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences from 2012 to 2016. During their bachelor's studies, they also attended Hanyang University for a semester in 2015 to study Business Administration.

After completing their bachelor's degree, Moritz pursued two Master's Degrees simultaneously. From 2016 to 2018, they studied International Business and Entrepreneurship at Università di Pavia, and at the same time, pursued a Master's Degree in Marketing & Strategic Intelligence at HEC Liège.

Additionally, in November 2015, Moritz obtained a certification in Communication & Rhetoric Training from the Management Institut Dr. Kitzmann.

Before pursuing higher education, Moritz completed their high school education at Economic High School Gladbeck from 2008 to 2011.
