Bashir joined Piers Park’s program when he was 10 years old and he’s returned for every summer since and has graduated from student to Future Leader and eventually to an instructor in the Science of Sailing program and adult program. He now leads the training of the Future Leaders and Instructors in Training.

In the offseason, Bashir attends Northeastern University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurial Engineering.
