Sean MacMullin has been working at Picarro, Inc. since 2014. Sean started as a Director of Data Analytics and later became the Senior Director of Software and Data Analytics in August 2022. Prior to joining Picarro, Inc., they worked at Purdue University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate from February 2013 to November 2014. At Purdue University, they focused on building a ton-scale liquid xenon detector for searching for dark matter and other rare events, analyzing data with liquid noble gas detectors, and developing novel calibration sources for liquid noble gas detectors.

Sean MacMullin completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physics from SUNY Geneseo, where they attended from 2003 to 2007. Sean then pursued further studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Nuclear Physics from 2007 to 2012.
