Brian Geiger has a background in flight mechanics engineering, simulation, and flight test analysis. Brian worked at Leonardo Helicopter as a Flight Mechanics Engineer from June 2017 to April 2019, where they maintained and updated the AW-609 Engineering Simulator and participated in wind tunnel testing and flight test activities. Prior to that, they worked at Piasecki Aircraft Corporation as a Senior Controls & UAS Engineer from April 2009 to June 2017. In this role, they led various projects including the development of small unmanned aircraft systems and flight control design and fabrication. Most recently, starting in April 2019, they joined Piasecki Aircraft Corporation as the Director of Flight Research, where they developed control laws and a real-time simulator for a large cargo UAV.
Brian Geiger earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Aerospace Engineering from Mississippi State University in the years 1998 to 2002. Brian then pursued further education and completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University between 2003 and 2005. Brian continued their academic journey and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University from 2005 to 2009.
