Holger Grosshans

Head Of The Working Group "analysis And Simulation In Explosion Protection" at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt

Holger Grosshans has a diverse work experience. Holger has worked as the Head of the working group "Analysis and Simulation in Explosion Protection" at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) since July 2017. Holger also serves as a Privatdozent at Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg since October 2018. Holger worked as a Visiting Researcher at Soka University from April 2019 to June 2019. In the past, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Université catholique de Louvain from October 2015 to June 2017 and at University of Heidelberg from October 2013 to September 2015. Holger also has experience working at Airbus Group Inc., where they served as an Aeroelastics and Fatigue Loads Specialist from April 2006 to August 2008, as a Design Team Manager from January 2003 to March 2006, and as a Trainee from September 1999 to December 2002.

Holger Grosshans has an extensive education history. Holger received their Habilitation from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Fluid Mechanics from Lund University between 2008 and 2013. Holger also holds a Master's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden, which they completed from 2002 to 2007. In addition, they have a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from The Open University, where they studied from 1999 to 2002. Further, they earned a Diplom (BA) in Mechanical Engineering from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) during the same period.
