Jason Schmidt, CPA, serves as the Director of Finance and Controller at Physicians Group Laboratories, LLC since January 2023, overseeing all financial functions except for the revenue cycle and producing financial statements using Quickbooks. Prior to this role, Jason worked as Assistant Controller at Tomball Regional Medical Center, where responsibilities included managing the monthly financial close process and reviewing journal entries. Jason also held Assistant Controller positions at American Surgical Professionals and worked in fixed asset accounting at NexTier Oilfield Solutions. Earlier experience includes roles as Assistant Controller for both the USA and Canada at AES Drilling Fluids, and as Senior Financial Analyst and Accountant at AltaGas Ltd. Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Science in Accounting from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas.
