Joseph Abia has worked in the UX Design field since 2019. In 2021, they worked as a UX Design Early Contributor for Phuture, conducting user testing and research for their DeFi Index Product, communicating research findings and UX recommendations to the product development team and stakeholders, and writing technical articles and taking part in social media marketing and campaigns. That same year, they also worked as a User Experience Designer for Cloud2Software, researching, interpreting, and designing an interactive user interface for the product. In 2020, they worked as a Product Designer for GIGY, conducting and communicating research findings and designing interactive user interfaces. Joseph also did an internship with HNG, researching, designing, and prototyping an AI-powered food detection application and a financial payments application. In 2019, they did an internship with Chevron, primarily attached to Health Environment and Safety, and worked with several workgroups in JV field operations and the Engineering Services Team.

Joseph Abia obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Uyo in 2021. In 2020, they obtained an IAB Digital Marketing and Media Foundations Certification from Google Digital Skills For Africa. In 2019, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification and a Mastering the Art of Presentation Certification from Chevron.
