Jared Porter has worked in the field of data science since 2012. Jared'sfirst role was as a Research Assistant in 2012. Jared then worked as a Data Scientist for Albion.co from 2014-2015, where they produced data visualizations and did statistical analysis for clients. From 2015-2017, they worked as a Business Science Analyst for News UK, where they made predictive models in R and Python and attempted to use a convolutional or recurrent neural network to do Twitter sentiment analysis and LDA for Twitter topic analysis. From 2017-2018, they worked as a Data Scientist for Qbiz UK, a boutique data science consultancy startup, and as a Consulting Contractor for Deloitte UK, FTI Consulting, and FusePump. In 2019, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist for DataSine, where they worked on a team to build the machine learning aspects of their product. Currently, they are a Senior Data Scientist for Code Worldwide, where they transferred legacy SAS code to Spark to speed up the run time for recommendations. In 2022, they are set to become the Lead Data Scientist for Phrasee.

Jared Porter attended the University of West London from 2012 to 2013, where they earned a Master of Science in Finance and Risk Management. Prior to that, they were a student at Brigham Young University from 2004 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
