Robert Lord, MD has a long and varied career in medicine and business. Robert began their career in 2008 as an Investment Associate at Bridgewater Associates. In 2011, they moved to Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as a Research Assistant, where they conducted research on cost-effectiveness and quality improvement in critical care and topics in public health cybersecurity. In 2013, they Co-Founded and became President of Protenus, and also assumed the role of Chairman of the Board. In 2017, they became a Fellow at New America. In 2018, they were appointed to the Board of Directors at TEDCO (Maryland). In 2021, they were appointed to the Board of Directors at Phrase Health. In 2022, they were appointed to the Board of Directors at Phantom Neuro, where they are helping to create a system that will enable lifelike control of robotic orthopedic technologies. In 2020, they became a Partner at LionBird.
Robert Lord, MD obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Certificate in Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Studies from The Johns Hopkins University in 2011. Before that, they obtained an A.B. in Social Studies from Harvard University in 2008.
