Shawn Hoose is a Senior Laser Quality Control Engineer at Photonics Industries Inc, responsible for conducting comprehensive testing of laser products to ensure compliance with industry standards and documenting results, while also developing Python automation scripts to enhance workflows. Previously, as an Undergraduate Researcher at Stony Brook University Department of Physics and Astronomy, Shawn developed programs in C++ and Java to model exoplanet atmospheres, facilitating investigations into temperature variances. Additionally, during an internship at Brookhaven National Laboratory, Shawn designed and implemented a Python application for testing data analysis. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Astronomy and Physics from Stony Brook University and has completed a Full Stack Web Developer program through Udacity.
