Steven Arenas is an experienced educator with a strong background in leadership and teaching. Currently serving as the Academy Principal at Phoenix Union High School District since August 2016, Steven has held various roles including Assistant Principal for Student Support, High School English Teacher, and Instructional Leader of the Carl Hayden English Department. Additionally, Steven is the Head Football Coach at Carl Hayden Community High School. In January 2024, Steven will begin a position as an Adjunct Instructor at Maricopa Community Colleges. Prior experience includes teaching English and coaching at Tolleson Union High School District from July 2009 to June 2016. Steven holds a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Grand Canyon University and a Master of Arts in English Education from Arizona State University, where a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching was also obtained.
