Marco Villarreal's work experience begins in 2006 when they served as a Supervisor/Technician in the Student IT Department at Palo Verde High School. In this role, they collaborated with an instructor to establish a networking lab, supervised classmates in completing work orders, and assisted in the installation of network equipment.
In 2011, Marco held the position of Group Leader/Resident Assistant in the Eller Global Business Cohort. Marco showcased strong communication and motivational skills, represented group members in meetings with the program director, and collaborated with other group leaders to organize group trips.
From 2012 to 2012, Marco worked as the Manager of the IT Department at Schoeni Art Gallery. In this role, they developed metrics to track IT issues, managed data formatting and filing for importation into a new website, and analyzed the server to improve data filing efficiency.
From 2014 to 2015, Marco served as an IT/IS Support Analyst at Farmers Investment Co / Green Valley Pecan Company. Marco oversaw hardware acquisition, setup, and deployment across multiple sites, provided hardware and software training to users, and collaborated with a Managed Service Provider to support over 100 users.
In 2015, Marco transitioned to the role of an Information Systems Analyst at the same company. Marco became the resident expert on software products used across four different sites, analyzed data discrepancies and provided optimal solutions to management, and offered expertise on Dynamics NAV 2016 ERP software and processes.
Currently, from 2021, Marco is working at Phoenix Rescue Mission as a Database Developer, and starting from May 2023, they are assuming the role of Database Operations Manager. The details of these roles beyond the respective start dates are not provided.
Marco Villarreal completed their associate's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Pima Community College from 2008 to 2010. Marco then pursued their bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems/Operations Management at the University of Arizona from 2010 to 2013. In terms of additional certifications, Marco obtained certifications such as "Analyze Data to Answer Questions," "Process Data from Dirty to Clean," "Ask Questions to Make Data-Driven Decisions," "Foundations: Data, Data, Everywhere," and "Prepare Data for Exploration" from Coursera in 2022. Additionally, they obtained the Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED certification from the American Heart Association in 2018.
