Alastair Brown is a highly experienced actuary with a diverse background in actuarial roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the With Profits Technical Actuary at Phoenix Group since October 2022, Alastair supports the With Profits Actuary for Standard Life's with profits funds. Previously, Alastair worked at Aviva as an IFRS17 Actuary, focusing on the transition to IFRS 17 reporting. At Lloyds Banking Group, Alastair held multiple positions over an eleven-year period, including Rectifications Actuary and With-Profits Management Actuary, contributing to actuarial expertise in projects related to corporate pensions, annuities, and life insurance. Alastair also has experience from Mercer and other notable companies, with a strong educational foundation in Pure Mathematics from the University of St Andrews and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Durham University.
