David Shannon has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology and simulation engineering. David currently holds the position of Information Technology Engineer IV at Phoenix Defense, LLC. Prior to this, they worked as a System Engineer at Dignitas Technologies, where they were responsible for the installation, configuration, training, and troubleshooting of JLCCTC-MRF WARSIM components. David also served as a team lead for multiple fieldings. Before that, David was a Senior Systems Engineer at Aegis Technologies, where they provided support to Joint and Army Simulation Centers and authored training courses and documentation relevant to simulation systems. David also worked as a Military Analyst and Technical Writer at Dynamics Research Corporation, where they analyzed military references and developed task descriptions and training support packages. Earlier in their career, David worked as a Trainer at General Dynamics Information Technology, where they conducted Maneuver and Convoy training using various simulators and devices.

David Shannon completed their education history with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Western Governors University, which they pursued from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained an AA degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, where they studied from 2006 to 2008.

In addition to their degrees, David has obtained various certifications. In 2015, they acquired the CompTIA A+ certification from CompTIA. David also holds multiple certifications from CompTIA obtained in 2022, including CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Linux+ ce Certification, CompTIA Security+, and CompTIA Security+ ce Certification. Moreover, in 2022, they obtained the VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization certification from VMware.
