Liang Tang is a Principal Scientist at GE Global Research, Inc. since August 2022 and serves as Chair of the SAE E32 (Engine Health Management) Committee at SAE International since September 2021. Liang holds the position of Associate Editor for the International Journal of Prognostics and Health Management since November 2013 and has been the Vanguard Chair of the ASME/IGTI Controls, Diagnostics & Instrumentation Committee since July 2020. Previously, Liang was Associate Director of Control & Diagnostic Systems at Pratt & Whitney from January 2017 to August 2022, and held various roles, including Associate Editor for the ASME Journal of Engineering for Gas Turbines and Power between January 2015 and January 2021. Liang's experience also includes leadership at Sikorsky, research fellowship at Georgia Institute of Technology, and project management at Ericsson, accompanied by a Ph.D. in Control Theory & Control Engineering, as well as degrees in Industry Automation and Applied Mathematics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
