Project Planner For Building Methods -outfitting at Philly Shipyard

Mary Bankston Leonard, EIT, currently serves as a Project Planner for Building Methods - Outfitting at Philly Shipyard, Inc., focusing on the installation of newbuild vessels, including a Rock Installation Vessel and a cargo ship. Previously, Mary worked on improving building methods for the NSMV vessel series. Prior experience includes roles as a Naval Architect and Junior Naval Architect at Foreship Ltd., where responsibilities included design packages for cruise ship conversions and providing site support during those projects. Earlier positions include an Engineering Intern at Tidewater Marine, where contributions included ABS stability submissions and cargo loading assessments, as well as roles in brand management and restaurant management. Mary holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of New Orleans, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising/Marketing from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
