Valerie Piper is an experienced professional in grant compliance and management, currently serving as the Grant Compliance Administrator at PhilaPort since December 2022, where responsibilities include overseeing federal and state grant development and compliance for the Philadelphia Regional Port Authority. Prior to this role, Valerie worked with Milligan Consulting, LLC, from April 2004 to January 2023 as a Compliance Manager, ensuring compliance for public fund recipients and analyzing extensive documentation for reporting to federal and state agencies. Valerie has also acted as a Zoning and Planning Consultant for Tackett Planning, where municipal grant writing was performed, and managed a project for S.H. Putman Associates that focused on developing a user-friendly interface for a specific application. Valerie holds a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.
