Michelle Nugent is a highly experienced art educator currently serving as the Director of Art Education for Mural Arts Philadelphia, where responsibilities include supervising staff, managing operations, and fostering community relationships. Previous roles include Teaching Artist at RISD Museum and Program Manager at Providence CityArts for Youth, where Michelle developed art programs and offered professional development for teaching artists. Michelle has also held faculty positions at Providence College and Brown University, as well as teaching roles at The College of New Jersey and Maryland Institute College of Art. With a Master of Fine Arts in Community Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine/Studio Arts, Michelle demonstrates a commitment to integrating art education with community engagement and social justice.
