Brian Howard is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in print and digital media. Currently serving as Editor at Philadelphia magazine since November 2011, Brian has held various roles including Features Editor and News Director, while also writing a weekly column for the publication's online platform. From 1995 to April 2022, Brian contributed as a freelance writer for numerous outlets, including The Philadelphia City Paper and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Previously, Brian served as Editor in Chief at the Philadelphia Inquirer and Grid Magazine, as well as Editor in Chief and Senior Editor at Philadelphia City Paper, where Brian won accolades for editorial excellence. Brian's background in music journalism includes writing for Magnet Magazine and serving as a disc jockey at WPRB. Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from La Salle University.
