Matt Murphy is the current Digital Content Coordinator for the Philadelphia 76ers. Prior to their current role, Matt was with the Delaware Blue Coats, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, and JAKIB Media Sports. From January 2017 to September 2018, Matt worked as a Sports Radio Production Assistant/Board Operator at Westwood One. There, they were responsible for production assistant duties for Westwood One's national radio coverage of the NFL and NCAA Basketball, board operator duties for coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, and highlight editor duties for events such as the Super Bowl and the NCAA Tournament. From October 2014 to May 2018, Matt was a sports reporter and play-by-play broadcaster at WFUV Public Radio. There, they won the Marty Glickman Award for Excellence in Play-by-Play broadcasting in 2018. Matt also had on-air experience as a PxP, Host, and Sideline reporter, and was a beat reporter for the New York Jets, New York Rangers, and New Jersey Devils. Matt also had special assignments at the Super Bowl LII, NBA Draft 16 17, NCAA Tournament 16 17, and NFL Draft 16.
Matt Murphy's educational career began at Paul VI High School, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Communications. Matt then went on to Fordham University to complete their schooling.
