Oscar Adrian Blanco (PhD) is an experienced poultry veterinarian and field technical support manager currently employed at Phibro Animal Health since April 2021. With a diverse background, Oscar has worked as a self-employed poultry veterinarian since 2016 and previously served as a laboratory manager at Vetlab Ltd. from August 2016 to July 2017. Prior roles include poultry veterinarian at Tiger Chicks and postdoctoral researcher at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where Oscar focused on characterizing and modeling body temperature and metabolic rate profiles in broiler breeder chickens. Oscar holds a PhD in Poultry Science with an emphasis on Environmental Physiology and Simulation Modelling from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a BVSc in Veterinary Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires. Additionally, Oscar has academic experience as a temporary lecturer, teaching various undergraduate and postgraduate animal health modules and contributing to curriculum development.
