Michael Ølund has a diverse work experience in various product management and product ownership roles. Michael is currently employed as a Product Manager at Phase One since October 2021. Before that, they worked at Rydoo as a Product Manager from May 2020 to September 2021. Prior to that, they were a Product Owner at Critical TechWorks, where they provided vision and direction for software solutions used in BMW cars from August 2019 to January 2020. Earlier in their career, Michael worked as a Product Manager at 3Shape, where they were responsible for the subscription-based TRIOS scanner software from February 2017 to August 2019. Michael also co-founded and served as the Head of Product at SHUTE Sensing Solutions, a university spin-out, from May 2015 to February 2017. Additionally, they gained experience as a Student Assistant at DONG Energy from January 2011 to January 2015 and as a Test Operator at DELTA from January 2006 to January 2011.

Michael Ølund's education history begins in 2008 when they enrolled in DTU - Technical University of Denmark. Michael completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Internet Technology and Economics in 2011. Michael then continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Engineering Management in 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Michael Ølund has also obtained certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In September 2018, they completed the Product Management Excellence Program offered by TACK International. Furthermore, in December 2019, they received the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
