Bassem Fahs has extensive work experience in the field of IC design and research. Bassem is currently working at Pharrowtech as a Member of Technical Staff, IC Design. Prior to this, they worked at nSilition as a Senior IC Designer, where they were involved in various projects such as large-array holography MEMS driver study, transceiver IC design, and RF energy-harvester design. Before that, they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, where they worked on a metrology project related to current-sources reconstruction. Bassem also worked as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Assistant Professor at Lebanese International University, and Founder at SOLARENA, sarl. Bassem Fahs has also held positions as a Senior RFIC Design Engineer at ST-Ericsson, NXP Semiconductors, and Philips Design, where they worked on various projects in the areas of mass storage preamplifiers, optical networking, CDMA and GSM/3G mobile communications.
Bassem Fahs has a Maîtrise degree in Physics/Electronics from the Université de Poitiers, which they received in 1999. From 1997 to 1999, they also obtained an Engineering Diploma in Microelectronics from ENSICAEN - Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Caen. In 2008, Bassem Fahs completed their doctorate, earning a Ph.D. in Microelectronics and IC Design from the Université de Caen Normandie. Bassem then pursued an MBA in e-learning from the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises (UCBN) between 2011 and 2013. Most recently, from 2019 to 2020, Bassem Fahs earned a Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) degree in IC Design, Communications, and LiFi from the Université de Limoges.
