Dr. Gitobu Kiren is a regulatory affairs officer at the Pharmacy and Poisons Board since May 2023. Previous roles include pharmacy manager at Njimia Pharmaceuticals and pharmacist positions at Malibu Pharmacy and the Ministry of Health in Kenya, where responsibilities included clinical pharmacy at Naivasha district hospital. Dr. Kiren gained experience as a pharmacist intern at GSK and as an intern at Kam Pharmacy, as well as completing attachments at Pharmart, Regal Pharmaceutical, and Aga Khan University Hospital in 2019. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Nairobi, a certificate in Health-Professional Education Partnership Initiative from the same institution, and a leadership and management program from the University of Washington.
