Madelon Cabooter has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Madelon started their career as a Trainee at UNESCO in 1995. Madelon then worked as a Project Manager at Rotterdamse kunststichting before joining the European Cultural Foundation as a Programme Officer, where they set up the Art for Social Change program and ran a subsidy program for artists in Central and Eastern Europe. Madelon then worked at UNICEF, first as an Information and Communication Officer in the Ghana country office, and later as a Projectleader Campaigns and Fundraising Officer Major Donors in UNICEF Netherlands. Madelon then moved on to become the Campaign Leader for Giro555, leading the Giro 555 Syria campaign to raise funds for victims and refugees of the Syrian war. Madelon also held various positions at UNICEF Netherlands, including Head Department of Childrights and Programmes, and Head of Corporate Partnerships Department at UNICEF Nederland. Currently, Madelon is working as the Partnership Director at PharmAccess Foundation, responsible for resource mobilization through strategic partnerships with corporates, governments, multilaterals, and private foundations. Additionally, they serve as a Board member at Lot's Foundation, an organization that advocates for children's rights worldwide.
Madelon Cabooter's education history begins in 1989 when they attended the University of Amsterdam and obtained a propedeuse in Geografie, Planologie en Milieu in 1990. Madelon then pursued their studies at Leiden University from 1990 to 1995 and received a Drs degree in Bestuurskunde. In 1993, Madelon Cabooter briefly attended Lund University, where they studied Politieke wetenschappen (Political Science). More recently, starting from 2021 to 2022, Madelon attended Nyenrode Business University, completing an MBA module in Transition, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.
