Valentin Ivanitski, PE has over 13 years of experience in engineering and project management. In 2021, they were appointed as Vice President of Engineering and Director of Mechanical Engineering at Phantom Space, where they are responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all activities, projects, and personnel in the mechanical engineering department for launch vehicle and satellite design efforts. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Spacecraft Mechanical/Thermal Design Engineer at Moog Inc., where they were the project manager/technical lead on multi-unit spaceflight systems. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Spacecraft Mechanical/Thermal Design Engineer at Broad Reach Engineering. In 2008, they were a Lead TA for Engineering Projects and Computer Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Product Development Intern at GeoEye, where they developed maps using elevation data gathered from IKONOS global imagine satellite and GeoEye-1 star tracker testing software.
Valentin Ivanitski attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 2006 to 2011, where they earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Phillips Exeter Academy from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained a high school diploma. In April 2016, Valentin obtained a Professional Engineer, Mechanical (PE) certification from Arizona.
